Sartrouville
Sartrouville is a city in France in the Yvelines department in the Île- de -France. It is located about 17 km northwest of the center of Paris on the right bank of the Seine across from Maisons -Laffitte. Sartrouville has 51 431 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).
History
The exact meaning of the first mentioned as Sartoris Villa place name is disputed, but it is in any case of Latin origin. In the 20th century it has developed into a typical Parisian suburb community.

Policy
In the years 1959-1989 the Communist Auguste chrétienne served as mayor, who was replaced by Laurent Wetzel, a member of the conservative Christian party sociaux Centre of démocrates; since 1995 is Pierrefond of the UMP mayor ( term until 2014).
