Satyadeow Sawh

Satyadeow Sawh ( born June 13, 1955 in Central Mahaicony, East Coast, Demerara, † April 22, 2006 in Georgetown ) was a Guyanese politician.

Sawh his BA in Economics from York University in Toronto and Ryerson Polytechnical worked at the Institute. 1975 to 1992 he was a representative of the Party People's Progressive Party of Guyana in Canada. He also worked as a publisher for the newspaper Guyana Current.

As ambassadors Sawh represented his country from 1993 to 1996 in Venezuela, Ecuador and Colombia. Since 1996, he sat as a deputy in the National Assembly and was also the Minister for Fisheries, Forestry, grain and livestock, from 1997 until his death, he was Minister of Agriculture.

Sawh was murdered together with some members of his family. He was married and had two children.
