The Saudi Riyal (Arabic ريال سعودي Riyal su ʿ udi, English: Saudi Riyal ) is the currency of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A Saudi Riyal ( SR) in 20 Qurusch and divided 100 هللة / Halala. There are coins with denominations of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100 Halala and banknotes in the denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 riyals.

The Rial has a fixed exchange rate peg to the U.S. Dollar: 1 USD = 3.75 SAR. Currently considerations exist in the kingdom, the Rial in favor of a common currency of the Gulf States (GCC ) to give up.

The name derives from the Spanish Rial Real, the currency in Spain was for several centuries, (derived from the Spanish rey = king).
