Saul Rubinek

Saul Rubinek ( born July 2, 1948 in Wolfratshausen, Germany ) is a Canadian actor, director and film producer.

Life

Rubineks parents were Holocaust survivors, he was born in a DP camp pine forest. His father Israel Rubinek was a member of the ensemble Yiddish Repertory Theatre. The family later moved to Canada.

Rubinek belonged in 1969 to 1970, the Stratford Shakespearean Festival Company in Stratford. In the U.S., he made his debut in 1979 at the Public Theatre in New York City.

Rubinek played in the film Nothing but trouble from 1994 alongside Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte in the film Nixon - The downfall of a president opposite Anthony Hopkins.
