The Sauldre (also: Grande Sauldre ) is a river in France, in the Centre region. Your source located in the hills of Sancerre, in the municipality of Humbligny in about 270 meters above sea level. The river drains first to the northwest, then turns southwest and flows after 181 kilometers east of Châtillon -sur -Cher as a right tributary of the Cher. On their way the Sauldre crosses the Sologne and touches the department Cher and Loir -et- Cher.

Referred to in the headwaters Grande Sauldre flow changes after the confluence with the Petite Sauldre his name and is called off because only Sauldre, the entire flow is always considered as a unit.

The water of the Sauldre supplies the former shipping channels Canal de la Sauldre and Canal de Berry.
