Săvârșin Castle

Savarsin Castle is located in Romania in the community Savarsin in Arad county in the Banat region.

History

The castle was built by the Hungarian noble family in the seventeenth century Forray 1650-1680. Previously, Baron Andreas Forray had had to create the 6.5 -acre park with a lake in the year 1514. The building was mostly destroyed during the Horea uprising in Transylvania in 1784. The rebels led by Peter Baciu also kidnapped on June 9, 1784 Castle Mr Andras Forray ( Sr. ).
