Teen Lover is a film drama by Cameron Crowe, produced in 1989 in the United States.

Action

Lloyd Dobler visited a high school and trained Kickboxing. He wants to go out with my colleague Diane Court before it goes to study in England, where she received a scholarship. He does not mind that her family holds a higher social position than his.

The father of Diane, James Court, tried to prevent the possible relationship of his daughter. He, meanwhile, has problems with the investigating authorities. He is accused of having robbed the patient of the guided him home for the elderly. Diane works for him at the officials.

It comes to appointments of Lloyd and Diane, but she then puts an end to him. He plays under the window of her bedroom on a tape recorder In Your Eyes by Peter Gabriel, to recover them. Meanwhile, Diane finds the stolen money from her father in hiding. James told her the money was intended for their studies, to which she replied that she would not be an accomplice to his machinations.

The lawyer of James is with the authorities of a deal, after his client gets a prison sentence of nine months. Dobler and Diane visit the imprisoned James, then they fly together to England. The film ends with Dobler cheer nervous during takeoff Diane.

Reviews

Hal Hinson praised the comedy in the Washington Post (14 April 1989) as a " delicious surprise." The relationship of Lloyd and Diane was shown without clichés. The performers were " charming."

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times (17 February 2002), the film is a film about " sincerity". Love the teen is shown " tactful ". Ebert praised the " human qualities " of the actor.

Awards

John Cusack won the Chicago Film Critics Association Award in 1990. The film was nominated in 2003 for the DVD Premiere Awards.

Background
