Sayaka Hirano

Sayaka Hirano (Japanese平野 早 矢 香, Hirano Sayaka, born March 24, 1985 in Kanuma, Tochigi Prefecture) is a Japanese table tennis player. She won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Career

At the age of five years Sayaka Hirano began, guided by her mother, with the table tennis sport. In 2001, she was Japanese Junior Champion. This year made ​​its first international appearances, once at Pro Tour tournaments, on the other hand, she was nominated for the World Cup 2001. Since then she has participated in all World Cups ( 2013 ). . Here she won four times with the Japanese women's team bronze, namely 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010 she won several titles at the national championships in Japan: Five times in individual (2003, 2004, 2006 to 2008) and 2008 in a double with Kasumi Ishikawa.

In 2008 she qualified for participation in the Olympic Games, where she finished fourth in the team competition. 2012, the team won silver.
