Sazomín

Sazomín ( German Sasomin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-east of Zdar nad Sázavou and belongs to Okres Zdar nad Sázavou.

Geography

Sazomín located in the Bohemian- Moravian Highlands below the confluence of the creek Hornovský creek at the Oslava. Through the village the main road I/37 of Zdar nad Sázavou leads to Křižanov. To the east runs the railway line Havlíčkův Brod - Tišnov. In the east, the Skály ( 629 m) and Na Kopci rise ( 589 m ) west of the Zemanův Kopec ( 558 m).

Neighboring towns are Jámy and Hlinné in the northeast, and Řečice Hodíškov in the east, in the southeast Obyčtov, Ostrov nad Oslavou in the south, Kotlasy the southwest, Březí nad Oslavou and Nove Veseli in the west and Budeč and Radonín in the northwest.

History

The village was probably founded in the second half of the 13th century during the colonization activities of the rule Křižanov and named his locator Sezema. Was first documented Sesemin 1317 when Jan of Meziříčí gave the village to the Cistercian monastery Saar.

After the abolition of patrimonial Sazomín formed in 1850 a municipality in the administrative district of Nove Mesto. 1925, the school was built. In the years 1929 and 1930 by the building of the highway connecting Ždírec nad Doubravou and Velka Bites. Since 1949, the community is part of the Okres Zdar nad Sázavou. In the 1970s, the school was closed. 1980 was the annexation to Zdar nad Sázavou. Since 1990, the community is Sazomín again. Sazomín leads a crest and a banner.
