Sbeitla

Government

Sbeitla is the largest city in the governorate of Kasserine Tunisian and has 20,253 inhabitants ( 2004).

In the immediate vicinity are the excavations of the Roman city Sufetula.

The economy is determined in addition to the traditional handicraft and agriculture, mainly olives and almonds on the oil industry. Since 1968, the oil field of Douleb by ETAP is exploited.
