The Sports Club Neusiedl am See 1919 is a football club from the Burgenland Neusiedl am See, Austria. The sports club currently plays in the Burgenland League, the fourth- highest division in Austria. His club colors are green and white.

History

The SC Neusiedl am See was founded in May of 1919 by some sports fans in the inn Nyikos in the then Hungarian Burgenland. The most successful period of the club began with the end of the 1970s. The sports club was able to play up from the Burgenland House of Commons with the title in the national league in 1976, the championship title in the Regional League East in 1980 and 4th place in the second division in 1982 due to an increase in the number of first division to the Bundesliga. This season, allowed six teams from the second division ascend. However, the SC Neusiedl am See had a hard time with the high level of the Bundesliga and could reach the 13th place with difficulty. This season, however, you could celebrate with a 2-1 victory over the then best team in Austria, Rapid Vienna, one of the biggest club successes.

In the next season, however, could not win a single point in the first round and eventually retired ingloriously out with 4 points from the Bundesliga. From that point on began the sporting and financial crash of the association. In 1989, the SC Neusiedl am See was only with difficulty relegation in the last class (2nd class North - Burgenland) prevent the Austrian football.
