Soldiers Amazone
The Soldier (Amazona mercenaria ) is a species of parrot from the subfamily of Neuweltpapageien. The ground color of the plumage of this 34 inches tall and about 340 grams expectant Amazonenart is green. However, this does the red wing mirrors, yellow to yellow-orange wing tips and the red banding on the outer tail feathers. The beak is like the featherless ring gray. The iris is orange and the feet are gray green.
The soldiers amazon comes in a narrow strip of Colombia and northwestern Venezuela about Ecuador before to Peru and northern Bolivia. She lives within this distribution area preferably in mountain rain forests and comes mainly at altitudes from 1,500 to 3,000 meters before. Until now, there are only sporadic information on the stock of this Amazonenart. The species is generally regarded as but not endangered.
