Scey-sur-Saône-et-Saint-Albin

Scey -sur -Saône -et -Saint -Albin is a commune with 1644 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Haute- Saône in the Franche -Comté; it belongs to the district of Vesoul, is the capital of the eponymous canton Scey -sur -Saône -et -Saint -Albin, and also a member of the Communauté de Communes Association of Municipalities of Combes.

Geography

The community is located approximately 40 kilometers northeast of Gray and 15 kilometers northwest of Vesoul on the right bank of the upper Saône. Neighboring municipalities are

  • Chargey -lès- Port in the Northeast,
  • Port-sur -Saône in the east,
  • Ferrieres -les- Scey in the southeast,
  • Chassey -lès- Scey and Ovanches in the south,
  • Rupt -sur -Saône in the southwest,
  • Confracourt in the west and
  • La Neuvelle -lès- Scey and Arbecey in the northwest.

The municipal seat is located in a loop of the river of the Saône, which can be negotiated in this area by barge. However, the shortened track with a short channel that runs just south of the municipal area, the flow loop from.
