Schaudichnichtum Lodge

The hunting lodge Schaudichnichtum southwest of Bad Durkheim ( Rhineland -Palatinate ) was like the neighboring cabins Kehrdichannichts, Murrmirnichtviel and Jägerthal an accommodation for the Palatine nobility of the 18th century, when it pursued in the Palatinate Forest hunting.

Today the cabin is a ruin; there are only small foundation walls, terrain tracks and a memorial stone obtained.

History

Presumably in 1730 the cabin was built by Baron von Hallberg from Fußgönheim, who had leased the appropriate hunting grounds by the elector. The destruction was probably in 1793, when the French Revolution spread to the Palatinate today.

The original name of the cabin is no longer known. The local population was the ruins of the 19th century a new name, which was modeled on the existing name of the neighboring houses Kehrdichannichts and Murrmirnichtviel, and so " Schaudichnichtum " was born.

In 1963 the cabin that had belonged to the former Royal Bavarian forest area from 1816, the National Palace Department Rhineland-Palatinate assumed.
