History
The no longer existing castle was owned by the Knights of Scherstetten, ministeriales Bishop of Augsburg, which until 1370 had its headquarters here. The Heilig-Geist -Spital Augsburg belonged in the Middle Ages two-thirds of the area of the resort, other parts belonged to the kingdom of the monastery of St. Ulrich and Afra. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in the Kingdom of Bavaria was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
Incorporations
On 1 May 1978, until then independent municipality Konrad Mayrhofen was incorporated.
