Schlemmin TV Tower

The TV Tower Schlemmin is a 94 meter high transmission tower of Deutsche Telekom AG southwest of Schlemmin, in the municipality of Bernitt in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The tower is located on a southern spur of the mountain High Castle, south of the nature reserve ' Hohe Burg and Black Lake ", about 118 meters above sea level in a wooded area. The completion of the first 60.5 -meter -high structure was based on a design by Ahrend 1965/67 in the course of establishing a radio network in the GDR. In addition, television signals were transmitted. The monolithic reinforced concrete shaft was manufactured in slip form. Today, the tower serves the mobile.

Unusually in this tower, which stands in an open field far from major cities, is that it is equipped with a viewing platform for the public.
