Schlemmin TV Tower

The TV Tower Schlemmin is a 94 meter high transmission tower of Deutsche Telekom AG southwest of Schlemmin, in the municipality of Bernitt in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The tower is located on a southern spur of the mountain High Castle, south of the nature reserve ' Hohe Burg and Black Lake ", about 118 meters above sea level in a wooded area. The completion of the first 60.5 -meter -high structure was based on a design by Ahrend 1965/67 in the course of establishing a radio network in the GDR. Unusually in this tower, which stands in an open field far from major cities, is that it is equipped with a viewing platform for the public.
