Schliersee Mountains

The Schliersee mountains are a part of the Mangfall mountains in the Bavarian Alps around Lake Schliersee and Spitzingsee. The Croda Rossa is with 1884 m the highest and most famous mountain of the group. It is in summer and winter one of the most popular tour destinations in the Bavarian Alps. From the mountain station of the Taubensteinbahn the Croda Rossa in just under 1.5 hours to reach and is frequented accordingly. The longer increases, eg from the Leitzachtal other hand, are much quieter.

The area is also the watershed between Schliersee and Tegernsee Lake, which marks the boundary of the municipality there between the municipalities of Rottach -Egern Schliersee in the West and in the East. The Grenzgipfel from north to south to Valepp are:
