Schmiehe

BW

The Schmiehe is a right or south-southeast tributary of the Red in Baden- Württemberg ( Germany ).

The Schmiehe rises in Bihlafingen (East - north-east district of Laupheim ). It flows predominantly in a north - northwesterly direction through the community Hüttisheim. Then she crosses the since August 10, 1999 reported 56 -hectare conservation area Hüttisheim ( LSG number 4.25.117 ), which includes, among other things, the valley areas and the southern slopes between Hüttisheim and Humlangen. Riparian woodlands, water channels with reed strips, field margins, hedgerows, individual trees and orchards dominate the ecologically valuable cultural landscape in this section. From the crossing under the K 7369, the Schmiehe continues to flow west-north- westerly direction. After passing under a section of the B 30 they reached Dellmensingen ( a southern district of Erbach ), where it empties into the Danube from the south Creek Red.
