Schönbrunn im Steigerwald ( officially i.Steigerwald Schönbrunn ) is a community in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg and a member of the administrative community Burgebrach.

History

The Bamberg bishop Berthold of Leiningen acquired in 1280 the castle and village of Schoenbrunn. The established there office was incorporated between the early 16th to the mid-18th century gradually in the Office Burgebrach. As part of the Bishopric of Bamberg the place came with the Imperial Diet of 1803 to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818 the municipality Palace. On March 28, 1974, the name of the municipality was officially changed from Schönbrunn Schönbrunn im Steigerwald.

Incorporations

Before 1972 belonged only Neuses Upper and Lower Village to the municipality Palace. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, the communities were Grub ( with Frenshof ) Half village, stone village and Zettmannsdorf incorporated ( with Fröschhof ) on 1 May 1978.

Population Development

Policy

Mayor since 2008, Georg Hollet ( Biirgerblock ). He won the runoff election in 2008 with 52.85 % of the vote against Otmar Oppelt (CSU ), and was re-elected in 2014 with nearly 50.67 %. Its predecessor was Hans Baier ( Biirgerblock ), who was elected with 89.45 % of votes to candidates in 2002.

The council is the legislative period 2008/2014 of 4 members of the CSU, 4 from BBL ( Biirgerblock ), 2 of the ABL ( alternative civil list) and 2 of the Open List stone village (OLS). The CWG did not occur to.

In the municipal elections in 2002, the CSU came up with five local councils, the BBL to 5 and the CWG ( Christian voter community ) on 2

Economy and infrastructure

Economy, agriculture and forestry

In 1998 there were, according to official statistics in manufacturing and 157 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. In other areas, were employed to social security at the workplace 39 people. Social insurance contributions at residence, there were a total of 696 in the manufacturing sector, there were eight, six companies in the construction industry. Breweries

  • Schönbrunn: first Sunday in July
  • Stone village: first Sunday in July
  • Grub: first Sunday in September
  • Frenshof: third Sunday in October
  • Zettmannsdorf: second Sunday in September
  • Half the village: the second Sunday in May

In addition, regularly following major events will take place:
