The Schüsselkarspitze is a mountain in the eastern part of the Wettersteingebirge on the border between Austria ( Tyrol ) and Germany ( state of Bavaria). It is one of the most famous climbing mountains in the Northern Limestone Alps. A wide variety of challenging climbing routes results in particular through the huge plate alignment of the south wall. In the summit area of ​​Schüsselkarspitze is a fixed bivouac, which offers climbers in emergency shelter.

The first ascent of the Schüsselkarspitze only succeeded in 1894 by Heinrich Moser and Oscar Schuster on the northern flank. Until then, the summit was due to some unsuccessful attempts as unersteigbar.
