Schwarzach (Altmühl)

The Schwarzach is a left tributary of the Altmühltherme in Bavaria.

In the upper reaches of this Schwarzach is also "Rear Schwarzach " called, to distinguish them from the tributary of the Rednitz ( " Front Schwarzach "). The Front and Rear Schwarzach which come close to less than 5 km.

The Schwarzach begins at the confluence of Siegbach ( originates on the west side of dill Berg ) and black water ( springs at Burgthann sub Ferri Eden ) west of Kemnath ( Acc Post -Heng ), it opens in Kinding in the Altmühltherme. It is about 45 km long. Places on the Schwarzach are Seligenporten (part of Pyrbaum ), Frey city, Greding and Kinding.

The lower reaches of the Schwarzach flows through the nature park Altmuhltal. The main tributaries are coming from Thalmaessing Thalach and Anlauter. The mouth of the Anlauter is located just in the Schwarzach a kilometer from the mouth of the Schwarzach in the Altmühltherme.
