Schwarzbach (Sebnitz)

The Black Bach is a right tributary of Sebnitz in Saxon Switzerland.

The origins of the 10.2 km long river on the southern slope of Mount Unger, after which it flows south to Krumhermsdorf and Lohsdorf over. At the former buttermilk mill at Altendorf the water flows into the orographic right Sebnitz. Right side, the Schwarzenbach mouth is on a hill, the castle Schwarzenberg, which is also popularly known as Goßdorfer robbery castle.

The upper reaches of the stream is initially deepened only slightly into the ground. The flat valley slopes are mostly used there as grassland. Below Lohsdorf the stream has formed a deep V-shaped valley in the upcoming multi Lusatian granite. The wooded and partly rocky valley sides reached there heights of more than 100 meters.

From 1897 to 1951 was in the Schwarzbach the narrow gauge railway Goßdorf - coal mill - Hohenstein.
