The Black Röder is the most water tributary of the Great Röder. It rises on Frankenthaler hall, flows on the eastern and south-eastern edge of the Massenei along, drags on the north side of the Karswaldes and ends after about 20 kilometers at the Mittelmühle Radeberg in the Great Röder, also to the confluence with the Black Röder " White Röder " is called.

Headwaters

The Black Röder rises near the local road between Frankenthal and Bretnig -Hauswalde to about 330 meters above sea level. Mills on the Black Röder

Both mills of the place Seeligstadt located on the barrel of the Black Röder. Name

Aquaculture

The pond economy played by the Röder once a large role. Along the valley Röder were ponds, some of which stretched seeartig.

The so-called Long Pond stretched from the house to the pond Kleinwolmsdorfer Arnsdorfer People's House. He was drained in 1815. The pond dam is still preserved as a causeway.

Below Seelig City's flowing through the Black Röder a broad meadow land. Here's a seeartiger pond, St. Benno - pond was created in 1511, which served the carp attitude. It was drained in the early 19th century. Remains of the dam are still present in the lowland meadow.
