The ruins of Black Castle

The Black Castle, historically known as Black Mountain, is a preserved today only a ruin remaining peaks castle in Waldkirch in Emmendingen.

Geographical location

In addition to the Kastelburg the Black Castle is the lesser known second ruined castle owned by the town Waldkirch. The ruins of the former, 656.2 m above sea level. NHN perched on the Black Mountain, a spur of Kandel's hilltop castle is so far decayed, that only some foundations can be seen.

The purpose of the castle foundation

History
