Schwarzenburg District

The municipality of Schwarzburg was until 31 December 2009, an administrative unit of the Canton of Bern. The district with the capital of Schwarzburg ( former municipality Wahlern ) consisted of four municipalities with 9950 inhabitants ( 31 December 2008) to 157 km ². The area is known by the name Schwarzenburgerland.
