Schwedenturm (rock)

The tower in Sweden Rathener area is a 35 m high rock of sandstone in the Saxon Switzerland near the spa town of Rathen and the bastion. From the parking lot of the bastion it goes towards Sweden holes and just before opening a narrow gorge, you will find the right tower Sweden. Due to its location in the climbing area Saxon Switzerland the freestanding rock is used for climbing. Currently, there are 14 different routes on the rock. At the tower, the first way with difficulty " Xb " of the mountain, the road was "6 Experiment ", first climbed by Bernd Arnold in 1983. Was first climbed the tower Sweden in 1905 by Rudolf Fehr man and his brother Arymund.
