The Schweinfurt city railway station is a railway station of the Lower Franconian town of Schweinfurt east of the old town on the railway line Bamberg and Würzburg.

Vehicular importance

The station is now only served by regional services as the stop for regional trains. He was originally from 1852, the first railway station of the city and only Schweinfurt breakpoint on the railway line Bamberg and Würzburg. In 1893 he was added to the station Oberndorf -Schweinfurt, today's main train station, which soon occupied the central role in local rail services. The town's railway station has since been used primarily by rail passengers from the old town and the districts high-field, valleys and Deutschhof that the town's train station, as are much closer to the central station.

Infrastructure
