Schwerz lies about 15 kilometers northeast of Halle ( Saale).

History

Schwerz was 1205, the district Dammendorf (as Tammen village and Götewitz ) in 1371 first mentioned. Origins of places and Schwerz Dammendorf find, however, already in Slavic castles from about the 8th to the 10th century.
