Scoreboarding

Score boarding point or panel method is an algorithm for implementation of dynamic scheduling in processors. This is at a central location on the scoreboard (also point panel ) checks whether resource dependencies, data dependencies or control flow dependencies. Only if none of these dependencies is more an instruction is enabled for execution.

However, since the score Boarding in contrast to the Tomasulo algorithm no register renaming is performed, existing functional units can only be better utilized if there is no counter input or output function of the data.
