Scott Brennan (rower)

Scott Brennan ( born January 9, 1983 in Hobart, Tasmania ) is an Australian rower who won the 2008 Olympic gold medal in the double sculls.

Brennan began in 1995 with the rowing. He was one second at the Junior World Championships in 2001; In 2003 he won the One in the U23 World Championships. At the 2004 Olympic Games Brennan missed the Australian sculls the finals, finishing in seventh place. The World Rowing Championships 2007 at the Rowing Course near Munich, he finished with David Crawshay in the double sculls second place in the B final, but was third twice in the World Cup. In Beijing at the Olympic Games in 2008, Brennan and Crawshay won then surprisingly the gold medal in the double sculls.

Scott Brennan has completed his medical studies at the University of Tasmania in 2007.
