Scott (crater)

Scott is an impact crater on the lunar front side near the South Pole. Due to this location, the interior of the eroded crater is often bathed in shadows. Located just south of the crater Demonax and west of Amundsen.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1964 after the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott.
