Scott Fraser (orienteering)

Scott Fraser ( born March 25, 1986 in Edinburgh ) is a British orienteers.

The Scot Fraser starts since 2006 in the World Cup and since 2007 at the World Men Championships. In 2008 he ran in the sprint surprising to fourth place at the European Championships in the Latvian Ventspils. When victory of Sweden Emil Wingstedt he missed a medal by only two seconds. In the coming years, he often showed its strength especially on the sprint track. But a medal at European or World Championships not yet jumped out. 2010 in Trondheim missed the British team with Graham Gristwood, Jon Duncan and Fraser in the World Cup relay race just a medal. Two years later, Fraser fourth in the World Cup sprint in Lausanne. In the following World Championships in Finland Vuokatti but of course he managed to finish in the top three. In the sprint, he remained just behind the Finns Mårten Boström and thus became vice world champion.

Fraser won British championships in the sprint (2007, 2008, 2009 ) and on the middle distance ( 2009).

2010 Fraser moved to Stockholm, where he runs for the club Södertälje - Nykvarn orientation since 2011. Previously, he launched internationally for Sävedalens AIK and the Finnish club Turun Metsänkävijät.
