Career

The Swiss- British dual citizen Scott Sutter, the son of a Swiss father and an English woman of Polish descent, played in his youth at Millwall, Aston Villa and Charlton and in 2002 to Switzerland for Grasshopper-Club. The youngster managed in the season 2005/ 06 the jump from the junior in the starting eleven of the Grasshopper Club Zurich. He belonged to the squad of the Swiss U- 21 team. In June 2009 he moved free transfer to the BSC Young Boys. His contract expired in Zurich.

In the fall of 2006 Sutter resigned from the Swiss U -21 and publicly announced that he no longer wants to play for Switzerland but for England in the future. In August 2010 he received a contingent of the Swiss national team coach Ottmar Hitzfeld for the friendly match against Australia and the European Championship qualifier against his native England, he, contrary to earlier statements of wanting to play for England, accepted.
