Scouse the Mouse is not regarded as an independent studio album by Ringo Starr, because he is listed on the cover as one of the key players and does not sing at all the songs. It was released on December 9, 1977 exclusively in the UK. The album could not place in the charts themselves.

Genesis

Scouse the Mouse is a children's storyteller with music from the year 1977. It is based on the homonymous children's book by Donald Pleasence. Among the artists who are featured on the album include Ringo Starr, who speaks the main character " Scouse " and eight of the 15 songs sings; Adam Faith in the role of " bonce "; Barbara Dickson as " Jolly Molly ," Donald Pleasence as the narrator and his daughter Lucy as " Holly Jolly ". The album was not prepared shortly after the release, which meant that it was released on bootlegs.

Action history

In the center of the story is Scouse, a mouse from Liverpool. Scouses story begins in a pet store where the mouse is hoping to get a new home. The wish comes true, as Scouse is purchased by a family. In their new home, the mouse learned through television, the language of the people. Scouse dreams of becoming a star in America, and when there is the possibility, he flees. He manages to get on board a cruise ship sailing in the United States. Heading into the clutches of some cats, but manages to escape by jumping overboard. A seagull saves Scouse and transported him to New York, where the mouse occurs in the famous Carnegie Hall.

  • Coinciding with the publication appeared in the book written by Donald Pleasence Scouse the Mouse.
  • The song " A Mouse Like Me " was released in 1978 on Ringo Starr's album Bad Boy in a slightly modified version under the title "A Man Like Me ".
