Scraper Site

A scraper site is a website that has copied much of their content from other sites. The goal is usually automated and with little effort to create a page that is well placed in the search engine results lists. The scraper site earned through on-screen advertising (eg Google AdSense ) to the visitors.

Search engines such as Google or Yahoo are not Scraper Sites, since the text content of such Web sites are displayed only as a result of a search. The situation is different in search engines that make their search results pages indexed and this link within the site. Search engines like Google try these pages for reasons of quality to identify and exclude from their index.
