When it was opened to the Bicentennial celebration of the United States in 1976, it was listed by the Guinness Book of Records with a height of 34 m as the highest roller coaster in the world. It has an L-shaped out-and -back layout. Screamin 'Eagle was the last roller coaster that was designed by the renowned John C. Allen, who was a historical designer of roller coasters. Renovation

In 1990 the trains were exchanged and from 2003 to 2006 received Screamin 'Eagle some significant repairs such as painting, new tracks and an exchange of the control panel. Despite these repairs Screamin 'Eagle retained his old ride, which added to the thrill of the ride makes you feel like to have no control.
