Scriptio continua

Scriptio continua or scriptura continua is the Latin name for a spelling word without separation.

The letters of the words follow without space bands, punctuation or capital letters to each other in the initial position. The term is mainly applied to Greek and Latin manuscripts and inscriptions. The word separation, which makes reading so, was not introduced until the Middle Ages. The Chinese writing knows no distances between each word.
