Scripture Union

The Scripture Union (English Scripture Union ) is an international Christian work ( Bible Society ). It was founded in 1867 in England and works worldwide, especially among students and families. Its mission of the organization is to help people to find a way in the Bible, and thus to discover the importance of the Christian message for them.

He puts this job into two paths around: For one, he designed experiential offers in cooperation with churches, initiatives and local agencies, such as children's Bible days, or by performing religious instruction in schools with a Bibelbus (Bible shuttle). On the other hand, he develops publications that enable and encourage an independent approach to the Bible. He sells various Bible reading magazines, editions of the Bible as well as books, magazines, CD -ROMs and work materials to facilitate reading the Bible.

The Scripture Union finances its work through donations. Grants are neither from the state nor from any church. He sees itself as an interdenominational service company for churches, free churches and communities.
