Scum (Band)

Scum is a Hardcore-Punk-/Black-Metal-Band, which was founded in 2002 by former members of the band of Amen, Emperor, Zyklon and Turbonegro. All band members except vocalist Casey Chaos, who comes from the U.S., are Norwegians. Contrary to the rejection of the ideals of the hardcore scene in the early Black Metal, expressed drummer Faust: " The connection of these people is not all that surprising [ ... ]. Black Metal, Punk and Hardcore bring with similar settings. "He also refers to the punk influences in black metal pioneers as Bathory, Celtic Frost and Venom, " even if it is sometimes at the lousy production and their lack of playing ability. "

Your published exclusively in Norway protest Single Life and their album Gospels for the Sick were included in a single recording session in September 2004. History

The band members of Scum have played in their past in numerous bands. Your guitarist Samoth played in some well-known black metal bands like Emperor, Gorgoroth, Satyricon, Zyklon, Thou Shalt Suffer, Arcturus and Zyklon-B. Drummer Faust contributed to the music of Emperor, Aborym, cyclone, Thorns and some other lesser known bands. Cosmocrator played for Windir and cyclone. Your singer Casey Chaos created songs for bands such as Grind and Damned Damned Damned Haller XXX. Happy band member Tom plays bass guitar in the band Turbonegro.
