Underwater adventure is an American television series from 1958 to 1961. The main character is a diver Mike Nelson, who is fighting on behalf of insurance companies, salvage companies and government agencies from criminal activities, under water, while another device with dangerous human adversaries and even animals. The focus is always resist fight scenes under water, the frog man ( as the then common job title for divers) to exist Nelson.

The former frogman Mike Nelson makes after his service in the Navy on their own. He takes orders of all kinds, so it holds bikes or nuclear warheads, rescues animals and people in need under water. Each episode ends with a plea for the protection of the oceans.

Production and publication

The series was produced from 1958 to 1961 by United Artists Television, most episodes directed by Leon Benson. David Rose composed the music, the idea for the series came from Ivan Tors. The company ZIV Television program was involved in the production. The shooting took place in various locations, mostly in Florida or the West Coast. A total of 155 episodes were produced. The show ran from 4 January 1958 to 23 September 1961 regional stations in the United States. 1959-1964 were broadcast 75 episodes of the series in the early evening of the ARD. In addition, there was a broadcast on French television.

In 2008, the series was released in the U.S. on DVD.
