Sea-lion

The heraldic mythical creatures sea lion represents a lion, whose rump ends in a fish's tail. The representation of the coat of arms is effected via the back and head bent tail. The preferred viewing direction corresponds to the direction of the coat of arms lion heraldic basic right. The tincture ( color ) follows the rules of heraldry. As an emblem of this sea lion is one of the common figures.

Examples of the sea lions are the arms of Riedböhringen, of Untermeitingen and Imhoff, who had the dominion over Untermeitingen.

The representation of a natural sea lions is also possible, but must be explicitly emblazoned as a "natural sea lion ". This animal is then displayed in a normal position of the natural animal.
