Seal of the City of Los Angeles

The Seal of Los Angeles contains the coat of arms of the city of Los Angeles. The coat of arms is surrounded by the lawful name of the city (City of Los Angeles ) and the date of incorporation (1781 ).

Within the circle of the plate of grapes, olives and oranges surrounded, the most important fruits that are grown in California. These are also symbolized in the colors of the flag of Los Angeles. The fruits are on a gold background and surrounded by a 77 - pearly beads.

The fields of the arms:

• Top left: the coat of arms of the United States with thirteen stars, symbolizing the 13 founding states.
