Sean Finning

2006: Commonwealth Games gold medal in the points race

Sean Finning (born 22 January 1985 in Kyneton Victoria) is an Australian racing cyclist.

Sean Finning in 2002 Vice Junior World Champion in the Team Pursuit on the track. A year later won the bronze medal in the same discipline. 2005 Finning was national champion in the points race and since 2006, he travels to the Australian Continental team Southaustralia.com - AIS. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, he won the gold medal in the points race before Hayden Roulston and Geraint Thomas. On the road, he won a stage at the Coupe de la Paix, at the Tour of Gippsland and at the Tour of Tasmania. In the 2007 season Finning was Australian Champion in the Team Pursuit, he won a stage of the Tour of the Southern Grampians, one of the Tour of Gippsland and he won the U23 road race in the Oceania Games.
