Sean Garrett

Sean Garrett ( born March 30, 1979 in Atlanta, Georgia as Garrett Hamler ) is an American songwriter, R & B singer and record producer.

Career

Sean Garrett was born in Atlanta, but moved at the age of four years with his family to Europe. The reason was the father who was the U.S. military, and was stationed at various bases in Germany and England. After he had appeared in some talent shows, he was 17 years old a recording contract with Ariola. When he was but a few years later returned to the United States, he should sign with Warner Bros. Records. However, the black music department of the label was disbanded, so the deal fell through just before conclusion of the contract. Of frustrated he first took away from the music scene and made a college degree at the University of Maryland and began working as a mortgage broker in South Carolina. Garrett now began again to write songs which he took and also some that were played on the radio part. Some leaders of the music industry now pushed to work as a songwriter for other artists it. This he refused, however, when he saw at that time himself as a singer. He changed his mind when he retired to Atlanta and his mother Rita died. Antonio Reid finally took him in 2003 as a songwriter under contract. There he had his breakthrough with the single Yeah!, Sung by Usher, the 12 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 was. In the following years he worked with many successful artists and had several number one hits in the United States. This he used to launch his solo career. He published in 2008 the Single Grippin ', recorded with Ludacris, which should be the harbinger to his debut album, Turbo 919. Due to the lack of success of the single, the album's release was postponed.
