Sean O'Donnell
Sean O'Donnell ( born October 13, 1971 in Ottawa, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League on the position of the defender since July 2011.
Career
The 1.91 m tall defender started his career with the Sudbury Wolves in the Canadian Junior Football League OHL before being selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1991 as a 123 in the sixth round by the Buffalo Sabres ( drafted ) was.
However, the links gunman was never used by the Sabres in the NHL, only stood at the Buffalo Farm Team Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League on the ice and was eventually transferred to the Los Angeles Kings on June 26, 1994 in exchange for Doug Houda. However, O'Donnell did not yet play all season long for Minnesota, the rest of the season he spent with the New Jersey Devils.
At the beginning of the 2001/02 season the defensive player was finally obliged as a free agent by the Boston Bruins, for whom he played three years. About the Phoenix Coyotes Sean O'Donnell finally got 2006 on the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, for which he was on the ice under the new team name Anaheim Ducks and with whom he was also able to win the Stanley Cup. O'Donnell finally stopped the team until October 2008 faithful, before he moved for a draft pick back to the Los Angeles Kings, where in 1994 he started his NHL career. On 1 July 2010 he signed a temporary one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.
On 1 July 2011 he was awarded a contract as a free agent with the Chicago Blackhawks.
