Seán Sherwin

Seán Sherwin (Irish Seán Ó Searbháin; * 1946) is an Irish politician and former deputy in Dáil Éireann.

Sherwin was selected after an unsuccessful candidacy in the elections of 1969 on March 4, 1970 the Fianna Fáil in the 19th Dáil Éireann, to the vacant become shortly after the election headquarters of the deceased members of the Irish Labour Party, Seán Dunne, new to occupy. He left in 1971 as part of the Waffen- crisis, the Fianna Fáil and joined by Kevin Boland newly founded party Aontacht Éireann. . The new party could not prevail, and so he could not defend his seat as Teachta Dala for the electoral district of Dublin South West in the elections 1973. He was defeated by the candidate of the Fine Gael, Declan Costello.
