SEB Pank

The AS SEB Pank is the second largest bank in Estonia. It belongs to the group of Swedish Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken ( SEB).

History

It was created on 15 December 1992 under the name Eesti Ühispank from the merger of 10 smaller banks. In 1996, the joint-stock company in Tallinn and Helsinki was floated. In 1998, SEB AB participated in the Ühispank. This interest was increased to 50.1 % in 2000 and in the following year to 95%. 2002, the remaining free shareholders resigned squeeze-out and SEB were to become the sole shareholder. On 11 April 2005, the renamed SEB Eesti Ühispank was. The name changed to its present name SEB Pank took place in 2008.

Business

SEB Pank is a universal bank. It provides financial services to private customers, corporate clients and the public sector.

Subsidiaries are:

  • SEB Ühisliising is the second largest leasing company in Estonia. Another offer is factoring.
  • SEB Ühispanga Fondid is the investment company of Ühispank group. It offers both private clients and institutional clients funds.
  • SEB Ühispanga Elukindlustus is a life insurance policy in Estonia.

The net profit in 2006 amounted to 911 million kroons against total assets of 49.8387 billion EEK. The return on equity is 21.9 %.
