Sebago Lake

The Sebago Lake is the deepest and second largest lake in the U.S. state of Maine. At its deepest point, the lake, the water level was raised by damming, 96 m deep and has an average depth of 30 m. Its surface is 117 km ², its length 19.3 km. The shoreline length amounts to 169 km. Since the surface is about 82 m above sea level, the lowest point below sea level.

Opened in 1938, the state of Maine, the Sebago Lake nature reserve. Even before the area had been a recreation area. The mostly wooded nature reserve, which includes 557 ha, has two public boat landings, campgrounds and cabins. Sebago Lake is located in the part of Maine, designated by the tourism industry as the " Lakes Region ".

The lake is located in Cumberland County, bordering the cities of Casco, Naples, Raymond, Sebago, Standish and Windham.
