Sebastian Kneißl

Sebastian Kneissl ( born January 13, 1983 in lime rock ) is a German football player.

Life and career

First club of his childhood was the KSG Mitlechtern, where he played until the A- youth. About the FC Bensheim he came in 1998 to Eintracht Frankfurt. At this time he had already completed several games for the U15 national team, and was successfully changed to the U18 team. He was regarded at that time as one of the most promising young talents.

From Frankfurt, he went in 2000 to London to Chelsea. However, with the takeover of the club by Roman Abramovich many international stars were bought so that Kneissl was no longer considered.

In early 2004 he was loaned to Scotland to Dundee, where he played in the championship eleven games in the spring and this score a goal ( against Celtic Glasgow ). In the summer of 2004, he was loaned out again, this time to the Belgian club Westerlo VC. In ten games this time he succeeded, however, no goal. He moved in the summer of 2005 from Chelsea to the Salzach to Wacker Burghausen, where he scored four goals in 31 games. During the winter break of 2006/ 07 he moved free transfer to regional league Fortuna Dusseldorf. There he had a contract until the end of the season, with the option to extend for a further year by the association, which was, however, not perceived. After a brief stint at Wivenhoe Town he went to the new season for Bayern division club SpVgg Weiden. Since January 2009, he plays for the 1 FC Schweinfurt 05 in the relay division of North Bavaria ( sixth highest German league ). He completed next to the football training as a wholesale and foreign trade clerk at the main sponsor of Schweinfurt, will then make his coaching license, and works now as a coach for the Schweinfurt B youth.

In summer 2007, Kneissl interrupted his football career for a year and worked as a street worker in London. He then organized football training for children from disadvantaged neighborhoods.
