Secernosaurus

  • Bajo- Barreal Formation ( Chubut, Argentina)

Secernosaurus is the only hadrosaur found in South America. The only way is Secernosaurus koerneri. The fossil consists of a skeleton and braincase fragmentary, non-contiguous, but found each other. The assignment to the Hadrosauriern was due to the horizontal acromion ( part of the scapula ) and features of the ilium ( Illium ). As additional features, especially the complete skull, are unknown, Secernosaurus can not be classified in a Untertaxon within the hadrosaur.
